Blackwolf Run Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Blackwolf Run Restaurant feels like slipping into a refined yet welcoming retreat where the rhythms of the day slow down just enough to savor the moment. Nestled along the lush greens of Kohler’s renowned golf course, the space balances an effortless elegance with an inviting warmth. Whether you arrive amid a lively afternoon round or wind down as the sun dips behind the fairways, there’s a comforting sense of pause — a place where good company and thoughtful fare come naturally together.
The atmosphere moves between serene and spirited, adapting with the day and the crowd. Mornings often hum quietly with the promise of fresh starts and hearty breakfasts, while afternoons bring a gentle buzz of connection as friends gather to share a drink or a bite after time on the links. As evening falls, a fire pit kindles a cozy ambiance outdoors, an intimate counterpoint to the rich tones and artwork that adorn the bar inside. It’s a setting that invites both reflection and lively conversation, with attentive staff weaving a subtle thread of genuine care into every interaction.
Tucked within the menu are moments that feel thoughtfully composed yet unpretentious — dishes that echo the region’s spirit without striving for the spotlight. From the satisfying comfort of a well-loved sausage chowder to the playful freshness of fish tacos, each plate carries stories of familiar ingredients reimagined with care. The wine and cocktail selections share that same balance, drawing you deeper into the experience, whether you’re savoring a classic Old Fashioned or sampling local brews thoughtfully poured at the bar.
Blackwolf Run isn’t just a restaurant but a gathering point — a place to mark celebrations, rest between rounds of golf, or simply soak in the quietly shifting light over the course. The patio’s gentle breezes and sunset views make it easy to lose track of time, while inside, the art holds its own secrets, inviting curiosity amid the easy pace.
Ultimately, this is a place that honors the small human moments: the shared laughter over a perfect slice of cheesecake, the warmth of an accommodating smile when plans shift, the contentment of sitting back with good friends and better food. Blackwolf Run Restaurant feels like a heartfelt welcome extended in the heart of Wisconsin’s natural beauty — quietly memorable, and wholly yours to discover.

My group of 16 lived here for a day. We ate breakfast, played meadows, ate lunch, played river, drank, ate dinner. Spent great hours here. Plenty of spotted cow

We hosted our rehearsal brunch out on the patio this past spring, and it was beautiful. Initially, it was chilly so the staff was quick to set out heaters while we were at the chapel rehearsing. Once the sun came out, it was perfect! The food was amazing and so was the staff. Thank you again!

Stopped into the bar at the end of the day for some snacks and drinks. Beautiful bar area with commissioned paintings behind the bar. Be sure to have them tell you the story of the paintings and the hidden figures. Good selection of liquor, and beer. Our favorite was the bratwurst charcuterie platter. At the end of the day, the sunset views over the golf course are striking. Even if you don’t golf, I’d recommend stopping by for a visit.

We came here for lunch and dinner as they have different menus for each. The service was fantastic and the view of the final holes is perfect for watching people finish the round. In the evenings they have a beautiful fire pit, an outdoor hangout spot. The fish tacos are the best I’ve ever had

My wife and I went here for our 2 year anniversary and enjoyed everything. Food and atmosphere was great and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. They got us seated even after learning our reservation was for the previous night, our blunder. My wife really enjoyed the bison filet. Thank you for our great night.

We started with beverages and appetizers in the bar area. Ask for the popcorn! (It's free). Dined in one of the dining areas with a nice view of the 18th hole. Service was impeccable. Corn Chowder soup is a must. This is a higher price point experience, but well worth it for a celebration or a date night.
